He should have never been given a scholarship and was done so because his father was a former player at Arkansas.
Arkansas had no QB that year and the game would have ended just like with LSU.

Are you implying that since Burlsworth accidently tripped over Stoerner in the Tennessee game that both should have not been given a scholarship?
That is absurd, Arkansas doesn't get that far in the season without those two and both had decorated careers especially Burlsworth.

Those Arkansas teams were really fun to watch. Was actually hard to root against them.

He made a mistake at a bad time like many that have been made in our history. And our defense didn’t stop them from driving down the field to take the lead. The loss wasn’t all on him but he got the blame. Chances are we aren’t even in that game without him. Pretty damn unfair.
What everyone forgot is the next year he threw the winning pass to beat 10rc the next year at the end of the game.

Interesting you mention 2006, that would mean you're certainly aware of a man named Michael Grant only a year later. McFadden curb stomped y'all that game. Last laugh was checked for him.
