shite for talent at both stops (and was handcuffed by harsin) so both fanbase are going to claim he sucks.

He sucks because he has a track record. He had *three* NFL wide outs (soon to be four with XL) and an NFL TE on his roster in 2020, and couldn't do a damned thing with them. Josh Vann couldn't see the field under Bobo, then takes off like a rocket as soon as he leaves Columbia.

He insisted on playing Collin Hill's useless arse out of either loyalty, or he and Hilinski not jiving, or something. He chased Hilinski out of the program, despite a thoroughly promising freshman year. Hill was noticeably slower, had a weaker arm, lacked functional knees, and was not nearly as decisive.

Marcus Satterfield did a better job with his WRs and QBs than Bobo did. That's harsh, but it's truth.

I will give Bobo credit for this: he was instrumental in turning Kevin Harris into a legitimate SEC tailback, which is something we have not had since. As bad as Bobo was with QBs and WRs, he did have a good running game.

What Bobo did at SC was borderline coaching malpractice.

Agreed.

I was a little bit in the know on his hire and, while I had high hopes with little confidence at his hire ... I felt like it was a mercy hire at the time given muschamp's and his coose friendship.

He had ALL KINDS of personal issues going-on behind the scenes at the time of the hire (I almost felt sorry for him) not the least of which was, what he claimed to be, some serious health issues ... among other things.

My biggest concern was that he was very mercenary. He actually felt that he was too good to be coaching here even given the ungodly am9unt of money we were paying him when he had a bad resume ... and then muschamp showed his arse demanding the hire be approved when there were two other better cordinators out there at the time, to be had, who really wanted to be here.

Bobo and muschamp are two peas in a pod. But listen, they've both made millions so they obviously have someone convinced that they have some worth.

Bo got a little better under Bobo, but the offense as a whole did not greatly impress. We were all tired of Gus ball, but Bobo was only an incremental improvement. How much of that was Harsin? I don't know. Taterhead was a total disaster.

I think Bobo is a decent OC who has been around the SEC long enough for most opponents to know his tricks and tendencies.

UGA has the talent and depth to overpower most teams, which is good for them because Bobo isn't going outsmart conference DCs on a consistent basis.
