Retired about 7 years ago from a local refinery as an operations supervisor. Early years I worked shift work for about 15 years and has a lot of time on days off. I flew for awhile as a charter pilot or delivered light aircraft from factories to customers. Later years as supervisor, spent more hours at the plant and off-time was normally on call, so I began a free grass cutting service for widows and elderly.

Many of my operators had side gigs, such as stump grinding, tree cutting, working at Walmart, investment broker, substitute teaching, woodworking, volunteer fireman, cattle farming and rent houses.
