Chaz has shortcomings when it comes to speed and pass rush but against the run he blows up blockers and generally does his job decently. Any 3rd and 8 or longer he wasn’t on the field. The decision id make if I were Schuman would be that obviously teams pass on 1 and 2 down too. So I’d trade a little run defense for more consistent pass rush ability. Chaz likely won’t be here or play much if he is next year.

The larger concern here is that we apparently have done a poor job developing or recruiting well rounded edge players, at least relative to a few years ago.
