re: Chaz Chambliss

I have known the Chambliss family since Chaz was 6. His mother and my wife are good friends and he used to come to our house every Saturday after his Pop Warner games. I always hoped he would end up at UGA but he was close to going to his dads alma mater Mississippi State or LSU before he decided UGA was the place he wanted to be. I playfully nudged him a bit to UGA when he was getting close to deciding and he would just say he was hadn’t yet decided between those 3 schools.
I can only say that Chaz has been a hard worker who always gives 100% effort. He is a polite and respectful young man. I imagine Kirby saw the same qualities. I know that his dad Cliff would have been very proud to see his success.
