Exactly! I would say, that FSU, Texas, USC, Oregon, OSU, Washington, and Michigan can play competitive games with UGA, LSU, and Bama.

I would also say the rest of the conference can play with and Probly beat most of the next section off the ACC, B12, B10, and PAC. But those 4 confs botto
Tier would get stomped I. Most cases against the SEC bottom half.

And yes, Texas has been nothing but a scourge and blight on football for 50+ yrs. That didn’t change just bc y’all have been irrelevant for the last 25.

Is SEC the worst (P5) conf this season?

I think it's a valid question. What has the conference done out of conference thus far? Mizzou squeaked by a good K-State team and....?

Now that doesn't mean things won't change. Let's see how it plays out.

That being said, the Big 10 looks very shaky outside of the top three teams, and that West Division is downright awful. Imagine how bad those teams are going to look with Oregon, Washington and the LA schools added to the schedule.

LOL. Keep holding on to those “Blue Blood” dreams of yours pal. Whatever helps you sleep at night. But the fact is the SEC in general, and Purple and Gold in specific, has been running roughshod through everything Texas for 25 years, and that ain’t gonna change on a consistent basis anytime soon. Sweet dreams there (fake) cowboy. Boudreaux says “hi”.

The PAC 12 is really the only conference that seems to have a good center of competent teams this year. I don’t think the ACC is all that much better than they have been, but the SEC is certainly worse than they usually are this year. I haven’t really thought the Big conference looks all that great and still think Penn State will come out of it over Michigan and OSU.

Overall though I think some form of parity via NIL and portal is finally come back to CFB and that is not a bad thing.

I am thoroughly intrigued to know what will happen if there are 5 undefeated teams at the end of the year, but this seems like a year there may not be any.

SEC is 2nd best right now. Pac-12 is better top to bottom.

PAC-12 has 8 ranked teams (3 in top 10)
SEC has 6 ranked teams (1 in top 10)
B1G has 4 ranked teams (2 in top 10)
ACC has 4 ranked teams (1 in top 10)
Big-12 has 2 ranked teams (1 in top 10)

If you look at cross-conference play, the Pac-12 has the best overall record.

It's pretty ironic that the Pac-12 gets it together the year before they go out of business.
