Exhibition with Auburn Highlights Week Three of Fall Practice for Baseball
The Crimson Tide and Tigers are scheduled for a 5 p.m. CT first pitch on Friday at The Joe
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – Week three of Alabama baseball's fall practice slate is highlighted by an exhibition with Auburn on Friday.
The Crimson Tide and Tigers are scheduled for a 5 p.m. CT first pitch at Sewell-Thomas Stadium. Admission to the exhibition is free while fans are encouraged to bring their own food and drink as concession stands will not be open.
Gates will open two hours prior to first pitch. Fans are asked to enter Sewell-Thomas Stadium through: Gates 1-3 located directly behind home plate; Gate 9 in center field; or Gate 12 along the left field line. Once inside, fans are to stay in the lower bowl seating area with access to the upper level premium areas of the stadium strictly prohibited.
The Coleman Lot adjacent to Sewell-Thomas Stadium will be in-use by fans attending Homecoming festivities on Oct. 13. Those who are wanting to park for the baseball exhibition are asked to park, free of charge, in the Capstone Parking Deck located at the corner of Bryant Drive and 2nd Avenue.
Prior to Friday's exhibition, the Tide will take part in two practices and a pair of scrimmages to start the week. Monday and Wednesday will be practice days for the team with each workout scheduled to start at 2 p.m. at The Joe. Tuesday will feature the first intrasquad of the week with a 3 p.m. first pitch. Thursday's scrimmage is set to begin at 3:30 p.m. in the final tune-up before AU comes to town.
All scrimmages are subject to change. The length will be determined on a game-to-game basis. Spaced out between scrimmages are the team's regularly scheduled practice sessions. Dates and times of all practices and scrimmages for the upcoming week can be found on RollTide.com each Monday.
