The point is this: Cook is not getting it done. Drink has nothing to lose by playing his 4 star recruit QB. The worst that happens is he proves Drink right. Because no one believes what Drink says.

Frankly, the only way Drink keeps his job is if Horn proves him wrong. Think about that.

It may well be too late anyway.

Based on thread title, I think that does him in ...

Let's say he switches to Horn and kid balls out to 9+ win season ...

If I'm AD, after that first press conference, post game comment, dissmissive attitude towards reporters/ fans, etc. ... I fire him anyway.

Drink is in a no win situation unless Horn, Garcia, etc. fail ... or Brady Cook suddenly becomes the second coming of Joe Montana ...

Drink has 100% lost the fan base ... there were multiple times on both Saturdays where Faurot faithful were booing, loudly and often ... even after simple 3 and outs ...

He's finished and he'll get his payout and an OC job in the MAC and be perfectly content ...

[Note: I don't think it is a plausible scenario where Horn (or Garcia) leads this team to a 9 win season ... the Offensive scheme is terrible, same as 2022, and only way we win 6+ games is if the defense puts the offense on their back as in 2021, 2022 ...]
