They initially rank on the average team score across all meets. Then they move to National Qualifying Score “NQS” scoring. This is calculated by taking the top 6 scores of the season - and it must include at least 3 away meets - then they drop the highest score and average the remaining 5 scores. I have to look it up each season to remind myself how they do it.
