two meets in a row where the score was around 197.0. That wide of a margin vs AU is akin to the beat down the Bama BB took.

A 17-time All-American, four-time SEC champion and NCAA all-around champion, Dee Foster was the program's first African American gymnast and the first-ever rookie to win SEC Female Athlete of the Year. She was also the first Alabama gymnast to score a perfect 10 before going on to set an NCAA record in 1993 with a perfect 10 in five consecutive meets.
With the announcement, Foster becomes Alabama's 22nd student-athlete to be honored as a conference legend, joining Penney Hauschild Buxton (2006), Andreè Pickens Houston (2010), Coach Sarah Patterson (2016) and Ashley Miles Greig (2020) as members of the Alabama gymnastics program to earn the honor.
Foster will be honored during the 2024 SEC Women's Basketball Tournament in March and will be recognized during halftime of Alabama's first tournament game, along with a group introduction at halftime of the second semifinal game.

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The No. 9 Alabama gymnastics team will travel to Denton, Texas, for a quad meet in Kitty Magee Arena on Monday, hosted by Texas Woman's University (3-6). The Crimson Tide's seventh meet featuring at least one top-20 opponent will begin at 2 p.m. CT.
Monday's competition will be the seventh contest for Alabama (5-2-1, 2-2-1 SEC) this season as the Crimson Tide is coming off a hard-fought loss to the then-No. 14 Auburn Tigers. Despite the outcome, UA captured multiple podium finishes as eight gymnasts either tied or set new season-high marks.

Friday night's meet will be the eighth contest for Alabama as the Crimson Tide is coming off a season-high team score Monday (197.675) propelled by a season-high mark on the floor exercise (49.550) and a season-high-tying 49.600 on the uneven bars.
Twenty years ago, Alabama legend Sarah Patterson started the Power of Pink initiative during her tenure as head coach to raise awareness in the fight against breast cancer. The simple idea of "Think Pink, Wear Pink and Roll Tide" was an instant success and spread nationwide with nearly every collegiate gymnastics team either hosting or taking part in a "pink" meet in the years since Alabama held its first in 2005.

We won by a Yuge margin and I read somewhere we got a 198. If that score is correct it would be a natty relevant score.

198.075; the highest score this season. Congrats to the ladies on a great win! Hopefully, they will move up in the polls after this win and score. Unfortunately, they have been moving in the wrong direction over the past month. RTR!

Awesome score by the ladies - especially in light of the disaster that struck during warm ups. Makarri was warming up in vault and was injured upon landing. It didn’t look bad at first glance but they had to carry her off and she came back much later in a boot and on a knee scooter. So ladies not scheduled in the rotation had to step up last minute. Surpassed a 198 and still left some points on the mat. If they ever put it altogether- watch out!
