Absolutely, Ewers was carving us up to the point that they would have easily beat us last year before he went out.

I really liked what I saw week 1 from our guys though, and TX seemed to struggle at times with Rice. Optimistic, but definitely nervous.

It is strange, the Texas/Alabama game last year was not just the best Ewers has looked going deep. That is the only time he seemed dialed-in throwing accurate deep passes. Every other game, including Saturday against Rice, his timing was way off. I'm starting to realize this won't get fixed. I think this is peak Ewers. I don't think teams will respect us going deep, which is a shame, because we have some great receivers for it.

Our D-line & DBs are really good. We have one very good LB. I like the Texas D against any team that does not have a quality running QB. I'm worried about Milroe on unplanned runs.

Our interior o-line is, again, a mess. This may be one of those games where we run for under 40 yards against Alabama. I'm not kidding. That is why Texas will likely lose this game.

Most of the Big 12 is an abortion this season. Texas will likely get to 9 wins, which is improvement, but only because our conference has dropped in difficulty. The same problems we had before Sark arrived are the same problems we have now.

As a UT fan, my biggest worry is our OL steps on their dildos again. That was by far the biggest issue on offense against rice.

If they are at least average then we have a great game on our hands. With that said, even though our OL forgot how to play football the entire first half against Rice, we still had more yards against them than Bama against MTSU so there’s that.
