Michigan doesn’t deserve to be ranked with the weak schedule they have.

E Carolina
UNLV
Bowling Green
Rutgers
Nebraska
Minnesota
Indiana
Michigan St
Purdue….

Texas struggled with f’ing Rice. They are not the 9th best football team in this country.

I’d flip OSU and USC right now but otherwise seems ok

Has anyone looked at Georgia's schedule?

They should stay in the number one spot all season.

But Florida State deserves higher. They earned it playing a top ten team and whipping them.

But did they actually play a top 10 team? Didn't look like it.

Ohio State doesn’t deserve to be ahead of any of the teams listed. They were fortunate it was Indiana they were playing

It's too bad we didn't have UT Martin or Middle Tennessee at home to really flex...

If FSU is the best team in the country, then that LSU team they dominated certainly isn't second

It should be.. however..Oregon may get the 10 slot or UTAh.. It would be hilarious if the pit Colorado there.. they technically had a much better win in the road.

That shitty performance would have gotten you beat by most top 20 teams

Pretty sure if MTSU and Indiana played in Bloomington tomorrow that Indiana would be somewhere around 7-10 pt favorite per all the metrics.

Doesn't really matter at this point, but let's not pretend playing in raucous Bloomington against an Indiana team that is 6-18 (2-16 B1G) the last 2 seasons is some sort of massive step up.

So would Georgia's against Kentucky last year.

The ability of some to look at one game in a vacuum is incredible.

2021:
Ohio State - 54
Indiana - 7

2022:
Ohio State - 56
Indiana - 14

So "if we'd only gotten to play MTSU" is pretty silly considering you played Indiana, yes.

So is your point that Ohio State played much worse than previous versions of that this Indiana team is a lot better?

It's 1 week, it doesn't really matter. But Indiana has been terrible and was expected to be terrible this year and Ohio State was pretty bleh. They get 11 more games to do otherwise.

Nah.

I'm not all that interested in your guesses about who would be favored or by how much, especially for FCS and G5 teams.

...or, maybe 2023 Indiana isn't 2021-2022 Indiana.

Well, we were favored by 28 and won by 20. We don't have to pretend that's a big deal.

It isn't really a guess - Vegas lines are pretty easy to calculate. MTSU and Indiana are clearly within about 5-7 pts of eachother in the metrics.

Maybe, maybe not. That's kind of everything after 1 week.

It's not that big a deal.
