Because UGA fans want to build a statue to honor a an average QB instead of accepting that they won a couple titles based on really good front 7 depth, luck in the 1st title and incredible scheduling in the second.
Instead of being happy with titles they want to change reality and credit a 7 year college dropout that is short, with an average arm and not athletic enough to mitigate the other issues.

Bennet was the MVP of 4 playoff games, won back to back rings, and was a heisman finalist. Tennessee fans suck off Hooker and his biggest accomplishment was getting dunked on by Purdue in a bowl game.

Reality? Well, the reality is, everyone who has 2 brain cells, even our rival fans who are mature and smart, admit that Bennett was an exceptional QB and a great athlete. Only a butthurt dufus like you would try to say otherwise on a public forum.
More reality; You're just upset that after 20 years of wallowing in misery, you got your hopes up after thinking that UT was 'back', then a Bennett led UGA team mopped the floor with them and brought them back to reality (and where they belong). And just when you thought it could be forgiven for losing to a excetional team like UGA, a mediocre South Carolina team showed UT that they are still the same as they ever was and always will be...mediocre at best. Face it kid...some things are never gonna change.

I guess I don't hang around these parts enough to say for certain, but I can't imagine your average Dawg fan thinks Bennett is the main/sole reason they win those championships. Still, you can't say the guy didn't exceed expectations and help his team. :shrug:
Now, if you'll excuse me I need to take a shower. I feel dirty for defending uga fans.
