It will end up being a longer-lived Big East. Smae for big12.

I think ESPN is trying to help the ACC stay afloat. Of course we are talking about ESPN. They have proven they don't spend wisely.

Everything that we once loved about this country is slowly being eviscerated by corporate greed.

It will start to make sense when the 2 super conferences break away from the NCAA. ESPN and Fox will have prime matchups coast to coast every Saturday.

Just change it to All Coast Conference.

Don't even need to change the general logo!

This shows how lousy the SEC deal was with CBS and new one with ESPN.

Agree on this one the Big 10 is going to have 3 Major Network game of the week matchups. Fox will do its Big Noon game. CBS will have a 2:30 game and NBC will have a prime time game with Notre Dame being a lead in game for that game.

Think of having a Michigan vs Wisconsin game on Fox Big Noon, a USC game on 2:30 on CBS and then Ohio State Prime time on NBC. Three different Networks with pre-game shows all promoting their games with top notch crews calling the games.

I am wondering what Cal and Stanford fans think of USC and UCLA right about now?

We need to get San Francisco and Los Angeles in a turf war.

Cal and Stanford will play 7 home games every year and every other year will play a road game 32 miles away at Berkeley or Palo Alto. Same with USC/UCLA. The cross country games will take adjusting to, but no more than two a month, I would imagine. It is harder on teams going West to East, but NFL teams play cross country games during the season and nobody brings that up as an issue.

Yeah, but the west coast sucks. Y'all made it that way. SC doesn't want none of that BS.

Yep, and ESPN has exclusive tv rights to the ACC. ESPN got a great deal in the first place. The ACC is hanging on by a frayed thread. They can't let the conference dissolve.

NIL has turned these kids into highly paid professionals now. get to practice, get to class, get your commercials shot, then get on the damn bus.

eta: i hate that this all happening with west coast teams joining the ACC, and all this expansion in general.

You think the ACC is better than the Big12?

I’ve been to South Carolina. Pretty bland State. Other than Charleston there isn’t much worth seeing. Myrtle Beach is a beautiful beach, but the town of Myrtle Beach is as trashy as it gets. Hicks everywhere. Nothing compared to the SoCal beach communities like Malibu, Santa Barbara, Newport, Laguna, Huntington, Redondo and Hermosa.

How badly did Sankey and his SEC 'brain-trust' screw up the ESPN contract negotiations ? Was there NO contingency regarding the addition of 'power house' teams/enhancement of the TV broadcast package ?
