Trust me the university and the city realize how ridiculous it is and to their credit they are both doing something to fix it. 20 years from not this town will double in size to where we’ve basically expanded to Sardis/Etta/Taylor etc. They have a plan

Points are definitely the way to go for hotels if you can find availability. Used some IHG points for the Bama game last year that worked out to ~$300/ night instead of $1000. Got a good deal for the egg bowl too. Some places don’t let you used points for 1-2 nights only, so if you’re flexible you can find some deals if you book extra nights.

You’d think it’s just about having more competition, but could the extra that would create the competition make it when there are no ballgames going on? That’s the million dollar question.
