The campuses of Arkansas and Missouri are 5 hours apart so they're fairly close as well. Plus your two states border each other, just like South Carolina and North Carolina.

That's a terrible comparison. West Virginia is two complete states away from South Carolina and the campuses are 7.5 hours apart. Not even close to being the same.
