I was 15 when it happened. They had to reconstruct my knee and put a screw through the knee to hold everything in place. Happened in Oct and by July, I was backpacking for two weeks in the Tetons of Wyoming. But I did work my arse off and it was numb for over a year.

While a 9 month recovery time is impressive, your story is anecdotal. We have hundreds of ACL tears recently to reflect on. It almost never heals so quickly.

Yes, sometimes you have guys like Adrian Peterson who look like nothing happen within 7 months, but that is exceedingly rare.

No idea if Rising utilized this new med technology, but some Euro soccer pros are getting back inside of 5 months.

Little late on this. I tore the MCL as well as the ACL. What the part that was a bitch was how the coaches handled it. I was second string and a sophomore. Happened at the beginning of practice. They had someone help to the bleachers and had to wait two hours until practice was over. Then they helped me to the locker room to look at it. Said it didn't look good and to go home. Then had to have help to.my car and drove myself home. Dad took me to the hospital and was told I needed immediate surgery. My dad was pissed but this was the 80's and there weren't that many law suits then. If that happened in today's time, I diffently would sue the shite out of them.
