Too many people buying into the recruiting BS about route running and route trees. That is something that they are using in recruiting against Tennessee. Which is a bunch of BS. But time will tell. It comes down to talent and desire. Because how many players were drafted in the NFL because I went through the combines and had great test results??

Is it?
You have half field reads?
I've seen WRs stand still at the snap.
I've seen several plays diagrammed and I don't see a full route tree at every position.

You're saying it's not true, but not giving one iota of evidence showing it's not. NFL teams need to make sure they get draft picks right, especially first and second round ones that are gonna get paid. They used to draft a lot based on college production and realized certain offenses produced stats but not good NFL players. Look at the guys producing in the NFL right now at WR. How many came out of veer and shoot offenses?

The air raid does inflate numbers, but the receivers are running NFL routes for the most part.

Here's what NFL.com said were the weaknesses of one of your WRs.

Weaknesses
Scheme created a variety of free releases for him.
Route tree somewhat limited.
Lean frame, lacking in play strength.
Knocked off course when press punch finds him.
Lacks deception in his short and intermediate routes.
Unsuccessful holding ground when catch is contested.
