So we're left to wonder if Josh Heupel is actually a great coach or if he had the good luck of stumbling into some uber talent, i.e. The Ed Orgeron Method.
If you recall, 2022 was the first time in Big Josh's coaching career that he didn't regress from the year prior.

Tillman had 2 catches previous to Heupel’s arrival and was a 2 star

"Had the luck of stumbling into Uber talent"...... I gotta know where this Uber talent you speak of came from. Because after Pruitt left Tennessee lost 35 players to the portal including....
-2 best LBs including the leading tackler and leader of defense
-sack leader and best pass rusher
-top 2 RBs
-starting QB and backup
-RT who was a 5 star and the guy who started over him
-only playmaking DB on the team
-4 out of top 6 DTs
Doesn't sound like any of the talent Pruitt brought in stuck around does it. Only exception is Darnell Wright and Hyatt (who averaged 200 yards a season).
Fast forward to last season, Tennessee's best players were:
-A former backup ACC QB (Hooker)
-a former walk on (Tillman)
-an LT that lost his starting spot a dozen times under Pruitt
-a 200 yard a season WR (Hyatt)
-a guy who worked at dollar general a year before coming to UT (Young).
All of those guys were drafted in the first 3 rounds of the 2023 NFL draft.
If Heupel and his staff could win 11 games in year 2 with these guys, what do you think he'll do with a legit roster. Be honest
