So this is the end of the Rose Bowl as we know it?

I am not the biggest fan of traditions, I do like a little chaos as it prevents things from getting stale and dull.
But one thing that sticks out to me is the tradition of the Rose Bowl. BIG 10 vs. PAC 12. That's obviously gone. Guess it'll just wrap into the future playoffs anyways, but it's sad to see it go away in its traditional sense.
Although some may argue that already happened with the NY6.
Oh well.

Rose bowl is only important when its part of the CFP.

the Rose Bowl has been dead since the CFP started.
The Rose Bowl was around over a hundred years matching the "best" team from the east vs the best from the west later matching the BIG vs the PAC. It hasn't done this very often in many years now.

A lot of history at the Rose bowl, but the Rose bowl screwed itself when they attached themselves to the PAC and the BIG.

So is it fair to say the Big 10 won the Rose Bowl?

More dead now that 12 teams are in the CFP.

More like the SEC kicked em the teeth and said, "Nope! You can't exclude me and expect to be relevant for long."
