None of this is really verifiable. We can look at recruiting rankings and roster talent. Alabama hasn’t missed a beat in that since NIL became legal in the summer of 2021. Alabama has signed a #2 and #1 class since then. On pace for a top three class for 2024.

Some of this is individual vs team pay philosophy. Auburn has the ability to to pay individuals high rates to change program trajectory and not have team mutany. In the long run they won’t. But they are doing what they should in the short term.
