The Alabama men's and women's cross country squads return to action Friday for the Southern Showcase, a short two-hour drive up I-65, in Huntsville, Ala., at the John Hunt Cross Country Park. The men's 8k race will start at 7:30 a.m. CT, while the women's 5k race gets underway at 8:30 a.m. to close out the action.
The meet marks the shortest trip of the entire 2023 season for the Tide, joining the Crimson Classic home meet in October as the only two meets in the state of Alabama.

The Alabama men's tennis team will open its season this weekend, hosting the SEC/Big Ten Challenge at the Alabama Tennis Stadium. The competition on Friday will begin at noon CT, while action will start at 10 a.m. on both Saturday and Sunday.
In addition to the Tide, Auburn and Ole Miss will represent the Southeastern Conference in the tournament, while Michigan, Purdue and Wisconsin will compete on behalf of the Big Ten.
