Not a Mizzou fan, but lived in Como for 6 years. The majority of restaurants in Columbia serve elevated bar food. Wings are a really big deal there. Agree with Booches and Broadway Diner; both are very small places with great food and minimal seating. During Covid, the owner of Broadway Diner cooked for school kids and anyone who needed a meal. I’m not sure if he had any staff to assist. He is a stellar human.

G&D’s Steak House-family style steak house between the stadium and I-70. Moderately priced, extremely quick service, We always got toasted ravioli and steak sandwiches. Best toasted ravioli in Columbia. Located behind Texas Roadhouse, next door to Best Buy.

Just Jeff’s - drive-thru only; nothing fancy, burgers, dogs etc. Chicago-ish, great Italian Beef. Just Jeffs

Glenn’s Cafe-located in the Tiger Hotel downtown. (aka The District). Everything we ever ordered there was good. They have white tablecloths on one side of the restaurant if you want to dress up and the other side is more casual. Decent brunch. Glenn’s Cafe

Oktoberfest in Hermann MO is huge; it’s about an hour west of Columbia
Oktoberfest

JJ’s-nothing overwhelming, but better breakfast than Cracker Barrel.

Wineries-several in central MO. This one is on the outskirts of Columbia. Les Bourgeois Vineyards

In Hermann Adam Puchta

Clydesdale Ranch-love this place
Warm Springs Ranch

If you’re able to, skip the I-55 route through St Louis and come up through the Ozarks. The leaves should be starting to change, and it’s a beautiful area of the country.
