Any list w/o Bernard King and Reggie White for Tennessee is invalid. I drove over to Knoxville to watch the King of the Volunteers torment Kentucky. (my dislike for Kentucky goes back to Rupp)

If we are trying to limit football players, Bo would get the nod. I would add Kirsty Coventry (female swimmer) as a fourth.

Any LSU list without Pistol is invalid.

limiting 130+ years of multiple sports being played to just 4 guys is generally going to leave out superstars. I found it hard leaving any of the 8 total players I listed off.

Most definitely. And for me, LSU is more of a football school, so for them to have so many basketball players is an achievement, too.

I mean you look at football history and you can do a Mount Rushmore with nothing but football players.

Billy Canon, Bert Jones, Patrick Peterson, Tommy Casanova, Y. A. Tittle etc.

Now if you want a real Rushmore of people associated with the school's athletics. UT's would be:

Nathan W. "Big'n" Dougherty - Football and basketball player, dean of the University of Tennessee College of Engineering at Knoxville from 1940 to 1956. He was also the chairman of the UT Athletic Council from 1917 to 1956. Instrumental in the establishment of the Southern Conference, being its first secretary-treasurer. Hired General Neyland.

General Robert R. Neyland - No introduction needed

Pat Summitt - No introduction needed

Gus Manning - A foundational University of Tennessee athletics administrator who served the school for nearly 50 years and attended over 600 consecutive football games

Bernard King, Condredge Holloway, and Todd Helton are all better choices than Hooker. And I really like Hooker(s).

Douglas didn't go to Ohio State.

Orlando Pace, Eddie George, or Jack Tatum would suffice.

You can't completely leave off David Dellucci. He's the best baseball player y'all have ever had IMO
