How soft can the sec go. I'll never forget CEH and Jimmy Burrow doing horns down though

This bullshite is why I'm against conference expansion.

The pussification of America continues.

Oh for frick's sake

Well then "horns up" should be a penalty too.
(Not that I believe either should be)

Pussification of the SEC, thanks Texas

Everyone might hate them, but A&M fans tried to warn everyone. Texas comes in and immediately starts making rules exactly like they said would happen.

So, Texas isn’t even in the conference yet and we are already changing g rules to accommodate them.
We were warned about them but didn’t listen.

Who cares, they can’t throw a flag on 102k fans giving horns down

…only sometimes. If you do it in the face of a Texas player, yeah. If you do it after a touchdown to the crowd, no.
The details are important, but I understand you’d rather watch the melt. Can’t say I blame you.

"on a case by case basis"
a couple things here:
1. I really don't like the subjectivity. It has never really worked out for LSU (Devin White hit against MSU comes to mind)
2. Alternatively, Clyde would not have been penalized for his in the endzone, but someone sticking it in the face of a player is taunting, so it's just a normal taunting penalty anyway
If called correctly, then this is a nothing burger
If called whenever those horns go down, then all is lost

Better tell our punter not to hurt their feelings.

Likely this. But the freaking out is kinda fun.

Great selective journalism on your end. Quote the whole thing:
I'm pretty sure if you make ANY gesture to an opposing player's face, it gets flagged. That has never changed. The difference is the Big XII would not allow it under any circumstances.

From your link… seems reasonable really.
