Not really. It’s Kirby’s “don’t frick over the defense” O that Monken was “executing”. Monken will be job hunting in the next 3 years.

Let me guess, somehow with what you will claim is a “meh” offensive coordinator and “meh” quarterback UGA had a top-5 offense.

Your takes are always hilariously bad.

Coordinators are a crapshoot. James Coley was awful and Todd Monken was incredible.

Anybody saying that Georgia's offense will be better or worse or about the same this year is just completely guessing. We have a new offensive coordinator and the bottom line is that anytime you have a new coordinator, who the frick really knows!

This is a bad take. Bobo is a known commodity.

Georgia is going to go 5-7.

We hear it every offseason.

It would be really interesting if some Gamecock fans would chime in here and give their take.

I guess we'll find out whether or not Bobo really did lose a step after he fell out in Las Vegas.

New QB is 10x more questiony than new OC that was an internal hire. You are slowly revealing yourself.

James Coley was an "internal hire." // And I'm NOT gay, I'm getting tired of this

And Monken had a QB with lots of experience. Surely you expect some drop off

We lost 15 players to the NFL, turned around and won a NC. This year we return 7 starters on both the O and D. You wanna explain why exactly you think we're gonna take a step back?

Sure. We won a national championship without lots of experience in 2021.
The offense got better with more experience in 2022.

I think Dawg fans would be more than fine with a national championship in 2023 with an offense closer to 2021.

In terms of yardage, PPG, etc. there won't be much if any drop off.

I think the game situation is where I'd have a question of how good Bobo is with Monken.

Monken had a knack for knowing when to call plays in the heat of the moment. And that's what makes the difference between a good and great OC.

This.

I think the offense will be a work in progress to start the year. That SC game looks like a good one this year. Will be tough.

Coordinator hires obviously are the most important off the field decision that a head coach can make.

After 2019 Kirby was at a crossroads. Would he be the new Mark Richt and just tease the shite out of Georgia fans some more, or would he be the coach that finally broke through?

To his credit Kirby told James Coley to hit the road, which wasn't easy because Coley was the ace recruiter, and Kirby did his research and hired Todd Monken, which turned out great.

PPG can be a misleading stat. The more your defense sucks, the less likely you are just hand the ball off the entire second half and play the backups like we did against LSU in the SECCG. In terms of "first half points per game" I'd imagine that Georgia led the country last season or at least they were top 5.
