Future conference is not like their old conference.

OU played in an conference with 3 of the worst teams in college football history (almost half the conference)

So, it was MUCH easier to win

OU has never beaten an SEC team in the national title game or playoffs, and neither has Texas (OU 5 times, Texas 2 times)

OU and Texas will be middle of the road SEC teams.
