It was Tennessee for a LONG time.
In 2001 a shift occured. LSU upset a far superior Tennessee team in the SEC Championship Game. The 2 programs went in complete opposite directions over the last 20 years since.
The next year, UGA then got on the train and has rode side by side with LSU as we both made up TONS of ground on the Vols.
I don't know if either of us has passed Tennessee officially. We may all 3 be battling this out now for awhile since Tennessee seemingly has returned.
