Let’s say we do the unprecedented and go 3 in a row. Looking at our 2023 schedule, I’d wager 10/15 we would play still make a bowl game. That’d be a 3 year run of facing 71% bowl teams.

No national champion during the CFP era should ever have to apologize for their schedule. You automatically have to beat two different top 4 teams in two weeks at the end of the season to win. frick anybody who tries to talk about Georgia's schedule the last two years!!!

To be fair 6 of those opponents were in post-season games (SECCG and Playoffs). Nebraska and Oklahoma only had regular season games to work with.

I’m not saying that suddenly negates your argument but comparing that metric to 90s era Nebraska especially seems misleading.

2011-2012 Alabama is the closest, and there was no playoff then either (removing a potential 2 more bowl opponents than during the playoff era)
