Ole Miss and State have the same entrance requirements as Jackson State. It’s set by the state of Mississippi. To combat that Ole Miss makes some of their freshman courses more difficult than normal so there’s a lot that flunk out after a semester or two. State does something similar

I did not realize that, but one thing I did notice while in school, was that most people dropped out freshman year, and those who made it past freshman year graduated (out of my friends). So this makes sense. Pretty interesting to hear that after all these years.
