Who in the SEC claims a national title for a season in the last 50 years when they didn't win the AP, Coaches or UPI title?

Why 50 years? The AP was around in 1936.

Bama claims 1941 which is absolutely laughable.
Georgia claims 1942.
Ole Miss claims 1963.
Arkansas claims 1964.

Those are the only ones I can think of that are completely bogus. Auburn doesn’t want to join this group.

Because the recognition of titles that weren't from one of the 3 major selectors became basically ironclad around the 1970s. There are quite a few pre 1970 across the country (as you pointed out). There very few if any after 1980. The post said Auburn should claim 3 of them.

It's embarrassing.

Georgia's 1942 title isn't bogus...UGA was the CONSENSUS national champion -- most of the pollsters voted UGA #1, not Ohio State.

1941 is now and forever more claimed by State.

The AP was not the powerful poll that it is today, or even 50 years ago. It took them awhile to to gain the status it enjoys today. Other polls were more highly thought of back then, and they even named their champions before bowl season.

I will only defend 1942 because I am not as familiar with the other teams listed. But Georgia beat #3 Alabama and #2 GT then won their bowl game. Auburn did beat us, but National Champions lose one game more often than not.

You're missing plenty of others.
Ole Miss also claims 1959 and 1962.
Tennessee claims 1938, 1940, 1950, and 1967.
And of course A&M claiming 1919 and 1927 in 2012.
