frick it, we should be at 7 - claim ‘27 and ‘46. The polls back then were all based on pandering to northeastern readership, none of it was legit until the 80s when TV actually allowed people to see more than what the NCAA and major newspapers would allow.

That opens up a can of worms for everyone though. OU could claim like 15 but they only stick to AP/Coaches (which is what everyone should stick to).

OU 43 national championships. Men's gymnastics leads all OU teams with 12 national championships and is followed by football (7), softball (7), wrestling (7), women's gymnastics (6), baseball (2) and men's golf (2).
