I read on ESPN where the Cotton Bowl has an out clause this year to take Notre Dame instead of an SEC team even if they finish out 7-5. You LSU fans may not have to worry about freezing your tails off in Dallas in January.

And that kind of garbage is the exact reason the Cotton Bowl fell off the pecking order list into Gator and Peach Bowl level.

They were part of the first "Bowl Alliance" for the 1992 season. Bowl that was tied in with the highest ranked team go to pick first (except the Rose,of course )SEC Champ Alabama was #2,so the Sugar picked #1 Miami. Texas A&M was #3,so the Cotton was supposed to pick #4 Florida State.Nope, they picked Notre Dame.

Regardless of LSU,I hope they do pick 7-5 Notre Dame and never get a chance at BCS status again. Dopes.

I'm still pissed off at the Cotton Bowl for that 1969 screw job - kept the Tigers on the string while all other bowls got their matchups. Would be fine with me if we never went to the CB again.

Notre Dame better pray to dear God that they don't get sent to the Cotton to play the third-slotted Big 12 Team.
