Yes, the football team underperformed.

We had the players, but the mindset wasn’t there like it has been.

Sort of like, "they didn't beat us, we beat ourselves"?

No, sort of like "if you don't play hard and smart, you probably suck at the sport you are playing".

If Bianco retires he will come. If Bianco is fired then he won’t. Same with Godwin.

Winning there must be pretty tough, then.

Why do you think that? I think they would be idiotic for them to pass up a job like that just because the last coach got fired.

Not good for SEC standards. They would be good for a conference up north. Around Alaska perhaps.

That is 100% not true.

Congrats but is winning the Big 10 much of an accomplishment? Maryland hadn't won a conference championship in 50 years and then they won 2 in a row the last 2 seasons.

Maryland was in a much tougher baseball conference for most of that. But they have been in the big ten almost 10 years now so it’s not like they won overnight due to that switch.

He’s been vocal about it the last few years and I have a personal connection that talks to him on a weekly basis. He turned down the Mississippi State job when they hired Lemonis because Louisville promised him major facility upgrades. And due to the turmoil in ULs administration, he hasnt gotten one thing he was promised.
He also had accepted the Ole Miss job two years ago when it looked like Bianco was going to LSU. That deal fell apart when LSU went with Johnson at the last second.

He loves Louisville but hates the administration and wants out because of that. There’s only a handful of jobs he would leave for. And two of them are in Mississippi.

PositivePaul, I hate to tell you, but you seem pretty negative. Or are you referring to something else being positive? Not judging.
