I think Oklahoma will have a bounce back year, but I just don't see Sark making the jump. He will fall way short of expectations and pick up drinking again.

True.

Texas will get dickslapped in Tuscaloosa but their schedule is a joke outside of that. It would be pretty embarrassing for a program with so much unwarranted hype to fail to win 10 games with that slate.

On the other hand, it would be funny to see the Urban Meyer to Texas rumors fire up again just for them to end up with another loser like Sark

35 out of 64 commits in Riley's last three classes have either transferred, quit football, or been removed from the program.
Riley's 2021 class only had 16 commits and 9 of those are no longer with the program. All of that shitshow, and when Venables got here, he also didn't have a QB left on scholarship at the beginning of last season, has been a disaster.

We'll be super young next season in some areas so I don't know how big of a bounce back we'll see, but we'll be better than last year.

Sark would have to miss a bowl to get fired a year before we start SEC play. I don't think that happens.

Do you think Texas will win the SEC within 33 years? That's how long it took Georgia to win its first SEC Championship*.

*Shared with Alabama.

Do you see a loss at Ames?

Seat could get warm if Cyclones win.

They were funny in 2010 but by now they are just sad.

We've played in Ames in November twice and lost both times. It's certainly possible. They had a bad year last year but their coach is decent even though he's a nutcase.

Houston is another trap, they will be ultra hyped after being left to rot after SWC broke up.

But overall, if Sark is the guy, he has the schedule this year to prove it.

Jesus Christ that’s Ed Orgeron level incompetence in terms of roster management.

Don’t get it twisted, if Riley was still with OU they’d have normal attrition numbers and would be playoff contenders (though not to actually win it all).

OU fans are still at the stage where they have to defend Venables. Certainly he will improve them from where they were last year but patience will exhaust quickly when he’s winning 8ish games a year vs what they are accustomed to.

I get you want to support your alma mater but they’re picked to finished 13 out of 14 teams, so no, it honestly isn’t a trap game for Houston.
