This makes no sense, Arkansas, without a doubt, doesn’t give two shits about this tournament. Makes no sense at all.

The top teams care about this tournament but not to the point of pushing their pitching and players beyond comfort before the real postseason comes. Capturing 2/3 seed means opposite of WF side of the bracket. That’s a good thing to shoot for besides to continuing to win. Also, I think any real college baseball fan is interested in Skenes vs Smith matchup. Should be a fun one.

While i think this tournament doesn’t have an affect on arkansas and probably not LSU, it’s ridiculous to think that Paul Skenes vs Hagen Smith won’t be fun to watch. I don’t think they’ll be pushed to 100+ pitches but any true college baseball fan knows it’s a treat regardless of how much the actual game means in the big picture
