I was merely pointing out that even if the pitcher was pushed he was fully capable of retaliating without any help from a teammate.

Yeah, but I don't understand your point in the context of the ejection.

First off, Dollander was the smartest guy on the field. He walked away chuckling. He was not stupid enough to get into it and possibly hurt his team by being ejected and then also miss the next weekend series.

Moore overreacted some, but he's doing what is not unheard of. Stepping in for his pitcher. Where he screwed up was not calming down as soon as the ump started pushing him away from the confrontation. Ump was actually not ejecting him at that point. It was when he kept flailing his arms.

If he's smart, he cools off quickly and then leaves it to his pitcher to brush someone back later, etc. But, don't criticize the Vol pitcher because Moore overplayed his hand in the emotion of the moment.

Moore overreacted, but that doesn't make Dollander some kind of pussy. Lol.

Am I missing something? Where did I criticize the pitcher? I criticized the 2nd baseman for injecting himself into a situation that had nothing to do with him in a reactionary manner. If the pitcher needed some kind of payback (in his mind) he could easily take care of that with brush back pitches or hitting a batter. (Neither of which was necessary) All I can figure is you either misread my post or got me mixed up with somebody else?

The 2nd baseman was stupid and got what he deserved, imo. He way overreacted and let the pitcher handle it if he felt it needed handling.
