Will Bama or OU claim all the credit for Hurts and his new contract?

The baws doing the "Is Hurts Alabama or OU?" schtick was played out before the Super Bowl.

And JMO, but Hurts is Alabama and Burrow is LSU. Both saw the vast majority of their snaps while wearing those college jerseys. I don't give a frick what some associate SID who is likely a grad student at Alabama, OU, LSU, or Tosu posts to Twitter, what sweatshirt someone wears to a post-NFL game press conference, or where someone got their degree or degrees. I'm not watching these kids play school.

I'm of the opinion he's done more while playing for the eagles to "justify" this contract vs anything he did in college

I’m just happy for him. I think he’s part of both the OU and Bama families, and both sides can be happy for his success.

I'm sure both schools will use this in their recruiting pitches, as they should.

But why do we (as fans) have to claim anything?

Why can't we just be happy for the guy, and wish him well?

It's okay to root for individual players, regardless of where they've been or every single stop they've made.

Let Jalen claim his worth. Who cares what college he went to.

We love Jalen, he won a ton of games for us and was the consummate team player. I'm sure OU fans feel the same. That's pretty much it.

I think a lot of people try to make way more of this Bama v OU situation with Jalen than needs to be. This is one of those few big transfers that made sense for both parties and there were absolutely zero hard feelings on either side.

He’s both Bama and OU. He’s not the player he is without Bama and OU helped him refine what he needed to refine.

He did a ton for Bama. He won us another Big XII championship, pretty much by himself, and began exposing our fans to the cultural rot that had taken place in our program. Both fans get to claim him.

Not that it matters what the fans think since he claims both.

Jury is still out. Now that he has his payday, the school that gets the biggest donation from him, wins.

Jalen is the one who should get credit, Bama and Oklahoma had nothing to do with it.

How about Hurts is his own man. He should get the credit because he did the work it took to get to where he is today. The schools gave him an opportunity .
