Honestly, it's going to happen. We are doing nothing to fix the strain on the electrical grid, instead shoving more things onto it.
When it fails, it will take months, maybe years to fix.

I’ve read where 3 days without power begins the end of civilization. I can see that. Beans and bullets will be your new bitcoin.

Those who prepare for these situations will be the first targets of those who didn’t.

Not all folks can head to the hills and live off the land.

Heck, Harry may wind up being someone’s meal….haha..

Careful what you wish for…

I’m no “prepper”, but this statement seems a bit off. The unprepared attacking the prepared? I know where I’m putting my money (err, beans). Dude’s lawn will be knee deep in man-bun adorned corpses.

All clutching dead IPhones.

I have a LAN line, so even when the power goes out my phone still works. Nothing like technology from 50 years ago to keep working when the modern stuff does not.

Don't even get me stated on not having things hardwired in the house

walk to a pond and fish and STFU and keep fishing and S.T.F.U.

learn to clean fish by default, cook the fish and eat them and eventually by week 3 they are smiling at the new world

keep fishing and eat that and read some books by candelight and shut the frick up

Doing all this already, well except the being quiet part.

Quiet while fishing is expected
Chatting while drinking (heavily) is also expected

Just don’t let anyone know you’ve stocked up on food and such. Not all unprepared food wise folks are unarmed and weaklings. Despair drives folks to turn to animals and they’ll burn your place down and pick you off coming out.

Never underestimate human nature.

I hope this type of scenario never happens, it would be hell on earth.

In my experience, I’m gonna expire long before prayers are answered.

Your results may vary.

Our prayers are answered if we wind up in heaven. What we do for one another on earth will help us realize that goal.

There’s too much hate on the internet, but in life we can help one another, it’s ok.

Things just need to be put in perspective.

To compare something with a similar thing to give a clearer, more accurate idea. You can put your worries into perspective when you realise how many people in the world are so much worse off than you.

If you grew up chopping wood to keep the home warm all you need is a Gurkha or a Machete and you can make quick work of the local man bun and soy boy crowd.

Gurkha Good for watermelon and taking heads

Machete Good for clearing brush and taking limbs

I like that knife. But I’d like the handle to be equipped with a set of brass knuckles for a more secure grip. I have a large hunting knife with the brass knuckle handle and I like it real well.
