All true, but Alabama wasn't the best team. Alabama was one of the better teams, but I'd argue that UConn was the best and UConn beat Alabama for proof.

One thing none of them can dispute, the best team in the SEC this year was Alabama, Period.
Football season will be here before you know it, and the beatings will once more commence. Bama loses two and still gets mentioned for the playoffs. and its an off year.
And next year Nate Oats will put another very good team on the court, keep getting in the tournament and they'll break through.

Alabama is in a unique position to be the first #1 overall seed to lose in the sweet 16 and have a player from that seasons team be convicted of capital murder.

It's tough but it can happen. I think Oats can do it. A lot of good teams in the conference though.
