Win the play in game against Pitt, and get a 19-13 Iowa State (how does a 19 win team get a 6 seed?)

Win that and get either Xavier or Kennesaw State. Sweet 16 is attainable

If we get by Pitt, we will be one and done. Iowa State’s men and women both have good basketball teams.

Last game was the first time in a while I thought we played nervous. If we win Tuesday I think we will beat Iowa State and Xavier.

The advantage of playing in the Big XII...you will have a lot of opportunities to get big wins.

The disadvantage of playing in the Big XII...you will have a lot of opportunities for many losses.

ISU big wins:
Baylor (3 times)
TCU (2 times)
Kansas
Texas
Kansas State

Pitt might be the toughest matchup of that five team pod.

The Pitt/State winner will beat Iowa State.

Xavier is decent but overseeded. Kennesaw might beat them. Greensboro is a true neutral site for all of the teams.

One of the MSU pundits opined that if you took out the play-in aspect of this, you'd be happy as a State fan and they would be a trendy double digit seed pick to get to the Sweet 16, but Pitt is a tough matchup for the Bulldogs.

Because they have 9 wins vs top 25 teams (6 vs top 10).
