Why didn't LSU give him a look? Put him there with LSU talent and I think he would put up Will Wade type numbers. Or maybe even better.

LSU nuked their mens bball program to keep the FBI away from the dead bodies in the football program, you’re talking apples to oranges

Agreed. Even if he doesn't have elite talent his teams have been fundamentally sound and he gets great effort out of his players

One of the biggest outlaw athletic departments in sports.

Vanderbilt is having an amazing season, and Stackhouse is coaching the pants off this team!
I saw two teams today that I was extremely impressed with: Missouri and Vandy. I see no reason that why both teams cant win tomorrow and meet for the championship.
Vandy punched its NCAA ticket tonight. Beating LSU was impressive, but beating Kentucky twice in a season is a monumental accomplishment.

I will eat my crow as I was not impressed with Stack thru 3.5 years
He was stubborn and ignorant trying new lineups, playing 13 guys, not starting our best players, etc
Something changed. He picked a starting lineup, playing 8-9 guys max really. And boy is he ever coaching his arse off with these guys.
Fun to watch

Ezra Manjon from UC-Davis is a baller. Great acquisition.
The thing that impresses me with Vandy is their team chemistry. It's just like a well-tuned engine

Word is NBA teams are sniffing around

Always one of my favorite NBA players because unlike all the rest, he could actually fight and didn't punch like a pussy.

On one hand I would argue that Vanderbilt has high academic standards.
On the other hand it’s also in the middle of Nashville which is a lot more enticing than most college towns.
IMM I think it’s an appealing destination long overdue.
I would go to Vandy.
