Circumstances don't matter.

He was a father of five kiddos.

Sad all the way around.

Walking around there in the daytime will get you killed. Nighttime is even worse.

It is sad. I feel for the family. It’s also sad that evidence suggests a father of five was leading a lifestyle that could put him in dangerous situations.

We live in a time that everything not booze or weed might be tainted with fentanyl. It’s playing with fire and gambling when you use hard drugs in 2023 from a dealer you don’t know.

They are even finding it in weed, had a death not far from where I live. Laced joint. That’s why I wouldn’t mind if they legalize weed completely here, at least it would be safer and regulated.

Most of the Nola unsavories who went to BR and Houston for Katrina ended up returning to Nola. Unfortunately.

Not only is fentanyl killing unsuspecting drug users, the current president is laughing about it and his administration seems to have no problem with it.

Downtown and all areas north of the Florida Blvd line of demarcation.

The entire City is not a Ghetto.

Most of the South Side of BR has always been fine, but Red Stick is absolutely not some quaint little College Town like Auburn or Oxford..........

The article I read made it sound like he went to the game with a client and then went to a bar 2 minutes from his hotel where you assume he was attacked walking back. Is there video footage or actual evidence showing more to the story?

Regardless, so sad for his wife and kids.

It wasn't easy for Nathan to be a scared white boy in a black neighborhood.

Apparently this is not what happened, but I'm sure more info will come out. It's not being investigated as a homicide, at least for now.

Drug dealers don't try to kill loyal customers.

I was raised at 5024 east brookstwown in Baton Rouge. We moved to the south end in 1986. North Baton Rouge has been rough even prior to that. But even then Plank Rd and Scenic Hwy were not much traveled unless one was looking for a prostitute or drugs.
