We aren't rivals with LSU either, and yes proximity matters.

Everyone is so focused on the 3 permanent rivals, we might get fricked on the back end. What if A&M draws LSU/tu/Miss State as expected, and draws Bama/Georgia/Oklahoma as 3 of our remaining 6?!? We’d be fricked every other year. Those “6” that rotate every year in a 3-6 schedule are just as important on how it’s decided.

The Bama MSU games hold a lot of historical relevance so I don't know what you are talking about
