quote:Ok, so looking at it from a traditional perspective:
The "real SEC" (original 10 teams):
The Big Six (traditional powers);
Alabama- 3 "real SEC" teams
Auburn- 3 "real SEC" teams
Georgia- 3 "real SEC" teams
LSU- 2 "real SEC" teams and an add-in with geographic ties
Tennessee- 2 "real SEC" teams, and an add-in
Florida- 1 "real SEC" team, an add-in, and then a newcomer
The rest;
Ole Miss- 2 "real SEC" teams and an add in
Miss State- 2 "real SEC" teams and an add-in
Kentucky- 2 "real SEC" teams and an add-in
Vanderbilt- 2 "real SEC" teams and an add-in
The Add-ins (expansion teams):
Arkansas- 1 real SEC, 1 add in, 1 new guy
A&M- 2 real SEC, 1 new guy
South Carolina- 3 "real SEC" teams
Missouri- 1 real SEC, 1 add in, 1 new guy
The New Guys:
Oklahoma- 1 real SEC, 1 add in, 1 new guy
Texas- 2 add-ins, 1 new guy
I'm not surprised that Alabama and UGA get what they wanted (although you might argue they'd rather play SC than Kentucky). Sorta surprised that South Carolina gets a classic slate, and Florida gets "leftovers".
You could argue that Texas also got exactly what they wanted.
From a competitive balance, you might say A&M is in trouble. Both LSU and Texas are pretty dominant in their series, and Miss State has not been the cupcake they expected.

Lmao if you’re scared, just say you’re scared
Literally not worried, I would of preferred Arkansas instead of State, but I like keeping a Miss school
