I thought this was a recency argument?
not at all. It is a discussion about comparing apples to apples, rather than apples to oranges.

Before 1940, the schools were in essentially the same position, and the records were essentially even.

Between 1940 and 1971, the schools were in entirely different situations, and the record was lopsided.

Since 1971, the two schools have again been placed on essentially even footing, and the record is again approximately equal.

This is just reality. It baffles me that the Longhorns have such trouble excepting it.

In essence, they want to compare the production of two fruit trees, when one tree was being watered and fertilized regularly, while the other was neglected. Of course the former tree will produce more fruit.

When both trees are properly maintained, they are both producing a lot of yummy snacks for the people of the state of Texas.

See how Aggie pulls out the 3-3 in the last 6. This is their technique of adjusting their opponents dominance over them.
apologies. I thought I was engaged in a discussion with someone bright enough to understand that the 3–3 point was intended solely to demonstrate the silliness of the 10–4 point.

Cope. A series record is a series record. I am intelligent enough to see through your spin. You picked the last 6 because it is even. Don’t be so daft smart Aggie.
