There’s the victims’s/prosecution’s story, the defendant’s, and the truth.

Another words, Brandon hopes he does not get his arse sued by the family of the decease in a civil suit against him.

It doesn't fit the text message asking for the gun either.

He was en route when he received that message.

Do y’all not understand what y’all just read?

Brandon Miller was driving to pick up Miles when Miles texted that he needed his gun. Brandon didn’t even know the gun was in the car and likely didn’t even see the text.

Miles texted him to bring him the gun, it's in the defense attorney's statement. Can you not read?

I think the semi-buried part of that which they want out is the idea that he may or may not have seen the text and was already en route with the gun already in the back seat, thus he wasn't "bringing" the gun purposefully to a gunfight.

Of course, that's an attorney-drafted statement that is precisely the type of characterization you'd expect if you're trying to gloss over or minimize your client's knowledge that a criminal act was likely.

On one hand, if there is evidence to support that insinuation, it would play into the narrative that the DA reasonable just couldn't get over the line to charge him as a series of coincidences made his role look more involved than it was.

On the other hand, criminal defense attorneys do criminal defense attorney things and nobody should ever believe their characterization of anything.

He was driving when that text was sent and possibly didn’t even see it. He was already on his way to pick Miles up.

Did he bring the gun or not?

If not, who did?

Can you go back tell when a text message was opened? Genuinely curious

Digital forensics can absolutely do that. I believe they usually send this stuff off to Montgomery for those purposes.

Imagine Miller and Miles are two off duty white police officers, and what the reaction would be.
