From what I've heard, UTA turned in their fellow SWC members to NCAA regularly in the 80s and 90s. Anytime a team started beating UTA, longhorns would hire private investigators to follow the other team's coaches, players, and staff. That's how SMU got the death penalty. A gift from their UTA friends.
Jackie Sherrill wrote a book several years ago and I saw an interview he did around that time. He said UTA had more than 80 private investigators on their payroll solely to spy on the A&M program. It all started after aggies began beating UTA in football. I guess you guys were hoping they'd get the death penalty as well. You horns sure don't seem like good conference partners. I guess people are right when they say you've destroyed both SWC and Big 12.

quote:So... your main source is that the big meanie longhorns were the ones that instigated it all. Y'all really are buying into that aggie narrative hook, line and sinker

Was it also our investigators behind the whole Eric Dickerson drama?

Oh, you heard that? From known cheater Jackie Sherrill? Wow, it must be true then! Pretty amazing how he could know that Texas paid 80 people to spy on A&M but also not know how to cheat properly without getting caught.
