2021’s OL wasn’t good, but 2022 was and I can’t understand how some people can sit there and really think it wasn’t. We were 4th in Yards Per Carry and 45th in Sacks Allowed Per Game, with a decent percentage of the sacks that did happen being because Bryce developed a bad habit of bailing from the pocket when he wasn’t pressured.

And before someone says 45th isn’t good, the coveted 2012 OL was 47th in that same category. The only 2 seasons where we ranked top 10 in that category since 2009? 2018 and 2019.

OLine was vastly better run blocking could get a little consistency but Wolf is a great coach. You got to remember this group talent wise did not have a first round pick at left tackle had a lot of young guys playing and had returnees from last years group which did not perform well.let the man recruit and it will be a monster unit.

Sorta reminds me of the 2018 OL. Ostensibly a good unit, but they couldn’t get a tough yard whenever it was absolutely needed. Team was just absolutely dogshit on 4th and short.

2022 line is similar. They did some things well but they didn’t have a mean streak. We had way too many ineffective runs where they just didn’t get movement or missed on a pull assignment. Our per yard average was hoisted up by Gibbs and McClellan’s explosiveness when it did get blocked right.
