Multiple posters claiming the thread is hard to read, so how are they improving things? By adding complaints about other posts that we all have to scroll past.
Which is exactly what you just did.

Anyway, anyone heard anything about the Lebby situation?

Charlie Potter on BOL said that sources from Bama and TCU, say that he was never in Tuscaloosa. Situation is fluid I guess lol

This was just a bad rumor from a troll account on Twitter. Nothing to it.

So...basically...Both coordinators have to adjust their style to Nick's style. I can see how that might bother some guys not used to having a leash around their neck. On the other hand though, following commands and being successful under Nick is a guaranteed path to a head coaching job one day!

Lebby being the "furthest" from what Saban wants in an OC seems to rule him out (that is, if Cole truly understands what Saban wants)

Does it truly rule him out though? I believe CNS is searching for someone that has a lot of “downhill run schemes, runs heavy play action, and takes deep shots” in their approach. Lebby would fit that bill IMHO. While the OU season wasn’t up to their standards, the offense actually wasn’t that bad, 13th nationally in total offense and pretty balanced as well, within 500+ yards ( run to pass).

Yeah... that's what Cole said (being the furthest from what Saban wants). I have no idea what Saban wants

The media doesn't really know much about who Saban is seriously considering or talking to. They're just guessing.

Agreed. Nothing has leaked out on the Bama side of these searches. Washington’s OC leaked his info but the rest have stayed airtight so the media is just throwing shite against the wall for content.

Ryan Grubb to interview

Ryan Grubb highlights:
quote:

Last season, Grubb's offense ranked No. 1 in third down conversion percentage and passing offense, No. 2 in total offense, and No. 5 in total first downs. Grubb also coached quarterback Michael Penix Jr., who ranked No. 2 in passing yards in the entire NCAA.

Cole is misrepresenting what it’s like. The style is always the OCs style. We’ve had about 5 different style offenses now at Alabama under Saban. The terminology is Bama’s. Saban has said many times that he’s not making 105 players and 10 coaches learn one guy’s terminology when he can make one guy learn ours. That may be a deterrent for some guys.
